Text message to Jesse from Dave:
You and I are going to host a YouTube show and subsequent podcast on modern spirituality in a trans-rational world. This will be a place where we can discuss life and interview guests. Start thinking of content and guests to have on the show. You have too much within you to just hibernate inside of your cave! On Sunday afternoons we will transform your space into a TV studio and film the weekly episodes that will be watched by millions of people around the world.

Wow! That sounds awesome. I am in. You have put a huge smile on my face.
We agreed to meet a few days later at his business in Phoenix, the Jesse James Body Wellness Center. Jesse and I always have great conversations when we get together. He has had so many great experiences and has a unique perspective on life. But this time there was a different feel. There was an air of excitement and a feeling of gravity to our discussion. As I walked in I said,
“We are going to call it Turning Stones”.
He said,
“Because we are looking for meaning underneath the surface”!
We high fived and hugged!
This combination of synergy between Jess and I led us to our first filming, editing and subsequent launching of the Turning Stones Show. It has been a swift and rapid start and we are only just beginning to scratch the surface of what is yet to come. Keep watching each week and interacting with us. It is my desire for this to be a place where you can develop a sense of community and find a place where you belong. Join in the conversation and let your voice be heard. This is not a show about answers this is a show about questions and questioning. MEET THE TURNING STONES SHOW HOSTS
DAVID MARSH
I was raised with a narrative that convinced me that I was corrupted with Original Sin and that I needed a Substitutionary Atonement to be accepted by God. If I didn't use my Free Will to accept his Free Gift of Love by sending his Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for me, then I would be condemned to Conscious Eternal Torment in the everlasting flames of Hell. "No Problem! Then I want to be 'saved'", I decided! So at the tender age of 10, I asked Jesus into my heart.
I lived my teenage and adult years under this construct and did my best to "do the work of the Lord". I married my sweetheart at 19 years old, I went to church every Sunday and served faithfully for years playing piano and leading worship services in church. I even spent my 21st birthday teaching Sunday School. I served in the United States Army, I got a degree in Biology from Washington State University, I started a business installing underground sprinkler systems in Pullman, WA and all the while I held fast to the world view that I was Safe and Secure because after I died, I would live in Heaven for Eternity while others would perish in everlasting torment. I was really never afraid that I would go to hell ... but I was afraid that you might. And that bothered me.
I moved to Phoenix, AZ in 2006 and started a video production company with the help of a friend and mentor, Scott Anderson. I was finally able to use my creative and song writing ability to produce content and music. I found that I really enjoyed business marketing because I understood the struggles of the entrepreneur and I founded a company called AZ Video Marketing.

Throughout my years of church service and trying to do "the Lord's will" I eventually became 'dissatisfied' with my feelings of 'dissatisfaction'. My faith system and religious construct had worked for me until one day ... it didn't. I just could not accept that God was truly just and trustworthy ... and least of all, loving. Was this really all there was? Was the Universe really sparked by a Divine Being and now slowly sliding towards a tragic apocalypse? Is this really a hopeless Universe in which we helplessly await a cosmic court room in which a judge decides if you're IN or you're OUT? Was Jesus just an evacuation plan?

Then one day Jay Mohr had a pastor named Rob Bell on his Podcast. I listened intently and was amazed: for the first time I considered that maybe there wasn't a place of Eternal Conscious Torment called Hell, like I had been taught all my life. My perspective changed and I viewed life from a different vantage point. Thus I started to Deconstruct my religious world view and Reconstruct a way in which we are all connected and in this Human Experience together.

I read Rob Bell, Richard Rohr, Sharon L. Baker, Julie Ferwerda, Peter Rollins, Mike McHargue, Caroline Myss, I listened to hours of podcasts such as Pete Holmes, The Robcast, The Liturgists, and Ask Science Mike. But The most important thing I came across was doing research on Near Death Experiences. I found out that millions of people have died, communicated with something, and came back to tell of their experiences. Very few of them reported a God of judgement that measures your deeds. Instead they talked about being connected with everything in the universe, having Soul Contracts to fulfill, having assignments on earth, raising consciousness, being a part of God, having many, many incarnations on this planet and on others, and that just being alive on earth meant that the universe was set right.
THEN I came upon Conversations With God volumes 1, 2, and 3, by Neale Donald Walsch! Then it all made sense. There was nothing we had to do and nothing we had to learn, but we are able to create and determine who we really want to be here in this lifetime. Most importantly ... We are all One. That's when I called my friend Jesse and decided that we needed to do a show. We call it Turning Stones Show. We set up my 3 cameras and have my wife, Gayle, volunteer to watch them all and record us as we talk. We produce content and share it with the world on Facebook and YouTube just so we can be a part of Spiritual Consciousness Evolving!
I have always been a SEEKER. I have always been a COMMUNICATOR. Can't wait to see what happens next!
